Lamb leather is sold here in 'garment' weight. That generally means it is thin enough for light clothing, but can be supported by additional materials for accessory and other heavier uses. A hide is approximately 7 to 9 square feet (measured in length and width, although never exact because it is an animal hide and therefore, cannot be, so leave room for excess with regard to your patterns).
