Cow leather is sold in several different weights. That means that we have hides that are thin enough for garment (clothing) use, others for upholstery and some that exceed that thickness for countless other uses. Hides are sold in half (20-25 square feet) to full (40-50+ square feet). It depends on the item, which one we stock in half or full. (Measured in length and width - imagine the side of a cow and double that image for the mirroring other side). As with other leather materials, this is an animal hide and therefore not perfect in shape, so leave room for excess when measuring patterns.
