Exotic, with regard to hides and the fact this is an American company, implies 2 things mainly - they are unusual, at least to 'Westerners' and they are from 'somewhere else' or other parts of the world, other than the US. There are some here that are farmed/harvested/tanned domestically, but most hold true to the above. They are all plentiful in population and allowed toi be tanned and used in this manner, by law.
