EMBOSSED LEATHER, AN INTRODUCTION

Embossing leather involves Heat applied to a metal Stamp or Block, as it is referred to. This stamp holds the Pattern or Design. When applied with Timed, Specific Pressure, the Design holds its shape within the leather, creating a multi-dimensional, appearance and feel. How pronounced the effect will be, depends on the type, thickness and color of the hide being pressed. Leather can withstand a lot of heat, making it ideal for this process. There are countless designs. Some will be shown below.
